Support the Jefferson Library Renovation Project

As Jefferson Elementary School celebrates its 75th anniversary, we are inviting our community partners to support a meaningful and lasting investment in our students—a Library Renovation Project.

Our Goal

To create a dynamic, student-centered space where children can:

  • Read and explore
  • Collaborate with peers
  • Problem-solve and think critically
  • Develop a lifelong love of learning

Why It Matters

Research shows that strong school library programs are linked to:

  • Higher standardized test scores
  • Improved reading and writing skills
  • Increased graduation rates

These benefits are especially impactful for at-risk learners, including:

  • Students from low-income backgrounds
  • Minority students
  • Students with disabilities

The Need

  • There is currently no foreseeable district funding available through the Appleton Area School District
  • Jefferson does not have a PTO to support fundraising efforts

Our Vision

We aim to transform the library into a space that is:

  • Warm, inviting, and updated
  • Equipped with flexible seating
  • Designed with student-focused lines of sight
  • Built to support collaborative work and learning
  • Student-focused line of sight
  • STEM workspace
